YOO HOO!!!

Hey everyone!
HAPPY NEW YEAR MMXI (2011)!!!

I'm here to revive our intern blog! haha
Yesterday was our 1st day of work in the new year of 2011! In the morning, we had devotion where Preacher Gideon gave us a sharing based on 2nd Peter 3: 14-18

"So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their destruction.
Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."

Preacher Gideon's sharing today was very enlightening as he talked about the need for us Christians to be firm in our faith and not waver under the pressure of misleading people and messages. Indeed, we all need to be strong and clear in our faith so as to be a testament to the people around us so as to 为主作光作盐!

So after the morning devotion, we had a special event to attend: 恩泽堂教牧开会!
It was a very new experience for all of us interns as we never knew that there will so many issues to discuss about our church! I guess the scariest part of the meeting was for EACH AND EVERYONE OF US TO TAKE TURNS TO PRAY. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! >.<

Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves. May God strengthen our 教牧 and our church's 软弱肢体 always.

After the meeting, which lasted for 2 hours 45 minutes (which they said was short, i wonder how long is the normal meeting duration! heehee), we had our lunch at the cheapcheap goodgood food court at the 2nd level of Paradiz Centre/Pomo!:D Yum Yum!

The rest of the day was spent on our individual youth ministry projects for the church. Tim on his beach evangelism, Porlin on her Welcoming ministry, Li Ting and Stephen on planning their music theory course for the adult choir (impressive!) and me on my Youth Service noticeboard and bulletin.

So that was how we spent our 1st day at work in the new year! :D Till next time!
