Cutting, Drawing, Pasting and Folding!!!

Robotic day we have! Haha we are machines actually.. Welcome to our robotic world..

Me, Tim (surprisingly!) and Li Ting were early today! Rachel was late while Stephen was later.. Haha.. So we began morning devotion late at about 10.05am.. Sadly Pr. Gideon had to rest at home because he had 2 injections yesterday night at A&E so he couldn't be with us today... GET WELL SOON! Oh yar! Before we began morning devotion, Rachel's maternal instinct rose and she started nagging at Stephen to do his homework while Li Ting go downstairs practice piano because shes was my pianist (Thanks Li Ting!) SO....

Forced to do the readings.. haha..

Well.. Better finish the week 3 homework soon, Stephen! If not later cannot graduate from internship how? lolz.. haha

Ok so back to morning devotion.. I was leading morning devotion today! Well done Me! (haha how ego can i be!).. We read Romans 12:17-21.. We shared about our experiences with hurt and betrayal.. Some of us took revenge on the person/people who hurt us, others choose not to.. From Romans 12:21 we are reminded that forgiveness is so much better than revenge and we are reminded that there is no need for us to take revenge because God will judge them for their evil as seen in verse 19.. The problem with taking revenge is that bearing grudges is rather self destructive and worse still, we are not only moving further from the person who betrayed/hurt us, we are also moving further from God.. He does not want us to take revenge as seen in verse 17 and 21. When we sin, we hurt God.. BUT instead of taking revenge on us, he actually sent his only son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins.. This passage was cross-reference with Esau and Jacob's story.. Esau was so angry at the betrayal of his brother that he actually wanted to kill him (Gen 27:41).. Luckily, Jacob fled.. BUT this is not the end of the story.. Esau forgave Jacob (Gen33:3-4).. Like Pr. Gideon said last time, we are not learning from Esau but we should look behind him.. It was God who helped him get over his anger and learn to forgive Jacob.. Jacob also realises that (Gen 33:10 he said he to see Esau's face is like seeing the face of God).. So we must depend on God to forgive others and we are reminded that forgiveness not only opens the door to rebuilding relationships but it also honours Jesus Christ (the one who forgiven us).. Tim ended the morning devotion with a prayer (thanks Tim!)..

We returned to our room and started cutting 对联.. It was super difficult because the paper itself was not straight... So we spilt into 3 groups.. Tim and Li Ting was the Drawing group, Me and Stephen was the Cutting Group while Rachel was the No group (haha..).. Basically, we were like machines, Tim and Li Ting draw a straight line on the paper while me and Stephen cut along those lines (since we were faster, we were pasting labels on the tracts for the beach evangelism tmr).. Rachel was doing her personal ministry project.. She was gathering photos of newcomers and the new Sec 3s to try to finish up her noticeboard.. We actually did this until lunch also cannot finish.. So we went to have lunch with 刘牧师, Shou Juan Lao Shi, Yu Zhao Lao Shi and Kai De at Parklane (through Pomo).. Stephen didn't have lunch with us because of a medical checkup.. After eating, me and Rachel bought Papadum (super nice! yum yum!! i love it! Rachel too i guess!).. We then went back and continued with the 对联s.. Cutting machines, drawing machines and Rachel back to work! We continued for 3 plus hours to finish it.. Wow right! Haha.. Then we also finished pasting the labels on the tracts soon after.. Wow again!

Then Shou Juan Lao Shi and Yu Zhu Lao Shi needed help in folding stuffs (次序单etc) so Tim and Li Ting helped with the folding while i am typing this blog plus folding (don't know how i am doing it at the same time) haha..

Finally, we are done with the folding and Rachel is still doing her board.. Later we have to go 祷告会 so for now we shall do our hw/helping Rachel/doing personal project.. Bye bye!
