It's the 16 already =O

So,in the morning as usual we started with devotions first! Two worship songs (thanks Jia Xi!),then Rachel started the day by going through 12 Corinthians:1-10 . We learnt that Christ wants us to be continually humble so He gives all of us certain weaknesses so that we would always rely on Him! Verse 9 clearly states this 'Christ's power may rest on me' and apostle paul's experience and sharing is a great comfort to me because no matter who we are,He loves us and treats us all the same as His children =)) also Rachel mentioned how one must be empty,so that they would be filled again fully,if not it will be impossible to fully fill a cup that is nearly filled to the brim, which relates back to the point about humility again yep! So we can see that one must be really humble to enjoy the Lord and glorify Him! haha if there's anything else pr. Gideon please add on yea =)

After devotion the other interns had to go and buy stuff for Christmas decorations, while i went back to the intern room to discuss the bible study to be conducted during chalet with Charmian! (Shhhhh contents are a secret hahaha)

Anw,so,3 hours later (can you believe we took 3 hours to prepare a single bible study which would ultimaely take only an hour!!). They came back, carrying all sorts of weird stuff hahaha. Then me and Charmian conlcuded our preparation too and we went to hail cab to get to east coast park for bible study! Phew,i can tell you it wasn't easy at all trying to hail a single cab man, cause it's like,5 cabs drive down the road, and they're all full =.= and the not-so-full cabs make up mostly the big cars whose fares start from 3.20 onwards =O so we ended up (or porlin did) shooting out our hands and hastily retracting it back everytime lurxury lookalike cab comes! hahahahha. But then again,we got a mercedes-benz lookalike cab in the end...... ><

We had the bible study at east coast kfc with Joel (Yi Le) and Seth! There were supposed to be more of their non-Christian friends coming but they didn't,so it was down to us interns and them attending the study yep. Joel told us that he lost his wallet at first, but thank God they later found out that it was actually at home! Heng ah...... =)) anw so,we talked about biking at first,fr the first half hour or so,then moved on to the bible study! Pr.Gideon gave us a magazine which details how to start people on a journey of faith, and how to continue walking in it and experiencing God's love with them all the while. A point that struck me was how God has already forgiven our sins, and we do not need to ask Him for forgiveness anymore because of one single action on the cross. The marvelous thing is that the more we go back to this gospel, the more i find that God's love is truly divine. Then we learnt a few steps to carry out whenever we repent and confess our sins,to agree that we've sinned, thank God that He has already done so,and trust that He'll continue to change our thoughts and actions and sanctify us!  Yup! After that we watched them show their stunts on the pathway, and it’s quite eye-popping hahaha =O I even tried a little when they offered to teach me,but I couldn’t do any of course!

Seth and Joel showing off some of their tricks, cool man!!

                                                                 Bicycling in the rain...

Then we cabbed to pastamania at sing post, and met Nat and Grace for dinner. Pasta wasn’t too bad, could’ve been more though! And we discussed a few things about choir and fellowship over dinner and after dinner and walked around abit. Little concrete stuff came out of the discussions, but hopefully we started something =) and after dinner, that was the end of the day! Until next time =D

  1. For a 1 hour bible study, 3 hours of prep time is considered quite ok. =) I know for my first bible study (which is a 30 min bible study), I took 8 hours to write the material and print it. For my sermons, the standard is usally 20 minutes sermon should talk at least 15-20 hours of prep time in reading, praying, writing, etc. Welcome to the world of teaching the bible bro. =) It takes time and effort to do it well as w want to be careful with the word! =)
